Coming June 2026 at the SuperNova Cafe
The Subterranean Solitude series pulls back the curtain on the internal worlds we inhabit while moving through the external rush of the city. Set against the gritty, rhythmic backdrop of the Toronto subway, these stories freeze-frame the moments where the mechanical roar of the train fades into the background of a passenger's mind. From the elderly woman cocooned in her heavy knits and shopping bags to the late-night dreamer staring at a darkened window, this collection examines the fragile, beautiful boundary between our shared public journeys and our most intimate, private thoughts. It is an invitation to pause and find the poetry in the commute, seeing the subway not just as a series of stops, but as a vessel for the city’s collective soul.
