"Sway" • 2022
Isaac Lotz is a Toronto artist born in Montreal. He graduated from OCADU in the late 1980s in commercial design and illustration.
In the early 1990s, Isaac bought his first Mac computer and started teaching himself graphic design programs. During the same period, he also taught himself traditional fine art mediums, thus beginning a series of oil paintings featuring large flowers and still life resulting in solo and group shows.
Founding a graphic design company in the mid-’90s and raising a young family meant placing a hold on his fine art endeavours, which only was renewed towards the end of the pandemic.
Today, Isaac works in graphite as well as diving into the new field of colour abstract using the digital software.
